"Every weathered surface,
worn and scarred scrap
of wood, every rusted bolt
and recycled object has
a history, displaying the
presence and passing of time and manifesting with it’s intention
humankind. The artifacts I gather
and assemble in playful
mechanical configurations are
reflections of ourselves, mirroring
society and our personal daily
endeavors: getting up, brushing
our teeth, going to work, struggling
for the next paycheck, dealing
with our jobs, associations with
friends and family, politics, war,
love, and death - all the very gears,
belts, and pulleys that turn
each of our lives."
