SMALL WORKS 2009

The Small Works Show opens January 9 2008. Turman Larison Contemporary will introduce artists whose work is new to the gallery, painter Susan Weller and glass artist Caroline Anderson, along with established gallery artists in an exhibition of new and current work. As the title of the show suggests all the pieces are small, no larger than 12” x 12”. Just the sort of miniature treasures one might give as a Valentine’s gift.

LOVE NOTES AUCTION FOR TURMAN LARISON ARTIST GRANTS

Each year artist Doug Turman has painted a series of small watercolors entitled “Love Notes”. In February of 2008 five “Love Notes” were auctioned off to raise funds for individual artist grants sponsored by the gallery. The auction was such a success that Turman has decided to paint just a few more this year and auction them off again. The “Love Notes” will be on view the night of the opening, and throughout the Small Works exhibit. The auction will take place on the evening of February 6th.
